Prepare to be riveted watching more than a decade's worth of work packed into two unforgettable minutes.

Construction on New York City's One World Trade Center has been completed and to commemorate the occasion and the opening of One World Observatory last weekend, EarthCam put out this timelapse video of the project being constructed, which got underway in October 2004. The observatory sits on the 100th, 101st and 102nd floors.

According to the YouTube description, "Hundreds of thousands of high definition images were captured over the past 11 years and hand-edited for this exclusive time-lapse movie." It's also a powerful reminder how awesome a timelapse can be.

After all was said and done, One World Trade Center, spiraling into the sky at just a hair under 1,300 feet high, now stands as the fourth tallest building on the planet.
