Obama Surprises Ely Resident By Personally Writing Back to Honor His Request [VIDEO]

Have you ever written a letter to a famous person? Did they ever write back? Imagine writing a letter to the President Of The United States and getting a handwritten response on White House stationary. That is just what happened to an Ely, Minnesota resident.
The Northland’s NewsCenter shared the story of Gary Snyder, who wrote the President asking for a personal contribution to a local time capsule that would be included in a brick wall of the Fine Arts Building at Vermillion Community College
Snyder was surprised to receive a handwritten two-page note from the president on White House stationery in September.
Below is a video of NBC’s Today Show, who did a feature on this story earlier this week.
