The next class will be held May 16 through June 29, 2011 at the Northland Chapter office located at 2524 Maple Grove Road, Duluth, MN. The course also includes 16 hours of clinical experience at Benedictine Health Center in Duluth.

Scholarship applications must be received at the chapter by May 1, 2011.

The course fee is $800 with an optional Home Health Aide module for an additional $200. Sherman noted that following certification, CNAs are reimbursed for the balance of their tuition, if they work 90 days in a Medicare-reimbursed nursing home in Minnesota, as mandated by federal law.

If you don't think college is for you, maybe this is something for you to check out.  Believe in yourself and follow your dreams to be a CNA, we will all benefit.
