Northbound 5th Ave West Will Temporarily Close May 12

Here's a heads up on another road construction project that may have you altering your route if you travel in that direction. You have plenty of time to find a different way to work or school because they won't start till next Tuesday, May 12.

More specifically, it's the north bound lane of 5th Avenue West that will be closed, between Superior Street and the alley just below West First Street, starting May 12th. They expect the closure until approximately June 5th because a crane will need to be placed for precast installation for the maurices Headquarters construction.

If you utilize that area you are encouraged to use West First Street or West 2nd Street to access the government buildings and/or surrounding businesses.

The good news is that with the crane being relocated it will open up 4th Ave West to motor vehicle traffic.
