The road construction is slowly making it way across the Northland.  If you haven't already been impacted in some way, perhaps this next bout of road closures and detours will do the trick.  We're moving from the Duluth area up I-35 between Scanlon and Larson Road this Thursday, June 7.  Motorists will encounter single-lane, head-on traffic until  mid-October. The lane restrictions are necessary as crews continue work on a major pavement reconstruction project.

Here are the ramp closures in detail:

• The ramp from Highway 45 to northbound I-35 will close June 7 through mid-October.

• The northbound I-35 entrance and exit ramps at Carlton County Road 1 in Esko will close June 7 through mid-August.
