I was at a very impressionable age when the movie Jaws came out and wouldn't cha know it, it was the same summer my mom and I traveled to Mazatlan, Mexico.  I could barely put a toe in the pool, let alone swim in the ocean!!!  Watching it for the first time it seemed pretty realistic, so I thought I'd take a different twist to commemorate the 38th anniversary of the epic film that starred Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw and show you the mistakes that weren't caught until AFTER it was released to theaters.

Do you need a refresher?  The movie takes place on Amity Island, a small community whose main business is its beaches.  Sheriff Martin Brody discovers the remains of a shark attack victim and wants to close the beaches. But, the beaches bring revenue to the small town so the Mayor and locals argue with him.  Then another shark attack and death and soon there is a bounty on the shark's head which makes everyone, amateurs included, take to the water to try to win the reward money.  A local fisherman with shark experience offers to hunt down the creature for a hefty fee. Soon he, Brodie and Matt Hooper from the Oceanographic Institute are at sea hunting the Great White shark.

This will take you back, see if you remember these mistakes:
