Driving home from Minneapolis this afternoon, I was so happy that I was not driving south on I-35.  While construction did limit us to one lane at times, it didn't cause much if any delay.  Those people traveling south, on the other hand, were pretty much sitting still beginning around Sandstone.  I can only imagine how long it took those people to get to their destination.  'Tis the season and on Monday we will have some new construction across the Northland.

According to The Northland's News Center, the northbound Interstate 535 on-ramp over southbound Garfield Avenue in Duluth will be closed for maintenance Monday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Nighttime motorists will experience ramp closures on Interstate 35 in Duluth will allow road crews to repave the road.

The ramp from northbound Interstate 35 to Mesaba Avenue, Superior Street and Michigan Street will be closed each night from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Thursday May, 31.

Allow yourself extra time to get to your destination and remember you can always check road conditions and projects across the state at www.511mn.org
