If you've driven recently on London Road and had low hanging trees strike your vehicle, there is good news from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

MnDOT has announced that a tree trimming project will begin soon along London Road between South 26th Avenue and the Lester River in Duluth. Trees and other vegetation with low-hanging branches will be trimmed as soon as staff is available and weather permits.

Other trees and vegetation may also be trimmed or removed in accordance with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

The whole area is being analyzed and if any projects involve going onto private property, approval will first be obtained from the property owner.

If you are traveling in that area and notice crews working, please proceed with caution to keep everyone out of harms way.
