In her small town of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Miranda Lambert is simply the owner of the Ladysmith Bed & Breakfast. Shockingly, the superstar reveals, some people don't even recognize her!

“People don’t realize it’s me," Lambert tells Yahoo. "I look way different than when I’m decked out for awards shows!" She credits the fact she's able to go incognito to not being made up in her hair and makeup like she is on TV or at shows.

Adds the singer, "I went there once, and a couple who was staying there was asking me where I was from, what I did. I just said I was the owner. It later dawned on them.”

Although innkeeper and country music superstar may seem like two jobs on opposite ends of the career spectrum, Lambert finds a way to bring them together. The way she decorated the unique Ladysmith hotel reminds her of her music, specifically her albums.

“Every room has its own character, its message to say," she says. "I feel like that’s how my albums are.”

The singer says she didn't always plan on doing this, but she fell in love with the Tishomingo building, which wasn't being used. True to form, Lambert turned it into something beautiful.

"I’m a fan of preserving old things. I loved the building [a converted 1901 drugstore], which was just sitting there rotting," she explains. "I wanted to turn it into something grand, to its original state. I bought it; it wasn’t for sale, but everything’s for sale.”

Lambert is endlessly proud of her new venture -- she dishes that even Blake Shelton loves it.
