Did you get a chance to check out the Ice Castle at the Mall of America last year? If your planning on going back this year, take note: it will be in a new location. If you didn't go you might want to consider it, especially if you went to Lake Superior's Ice Caves and enjoyed that.

This year's theme is "Frozen Narnia". The Ice Castles is massive and hand crafted of only ice, yup just frozen water that is molded into towers and tunnels, canyons and archways and is lit by thousands of LED lights.

The new location of the Ice Castles will be at Miller Park, 8208 Eden Prairie Road in Eden Prairie, MN. Mark it on your calendar and start planning your trip now. I thought I could combine a holiday shopping trip at the Mall of America with a visit to the Ice Castles, but they will begin construction of the iced wonder late this month and won't be open until the day after Christmas through March (depending on weather).

If you've never seen this before you'll be amazed.  Here is a video that will give you a little background on the creator from Utah and a sneak peek at what you can expect this year in Eden Prairie, MN.
