Few things beat watching a good baseball movie or spending a day at the ballpark. The Minnesota Twins have partnered with their TV home (FOX Sports North) to bring the two together in a special showing of an iconic baseball flick.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary for the release of the movie "The Sandlot", the film will be shown on the video scoreboard at Target Field following the Twins vs. Red Sox game on Sunday, May 19. The organizers anticipate the film to start around 4:30 pm, depending on the length of the game.

Director, writer, and narrator David Mickey Evans will attend the event; which will also afford fans the opportunity to apply for the "Sandlot Scholarship" through the Minnesota Twins "Fields for Kids" Program. The program is designed to help in renovating youth baseball fields around Twins Territory so folks around the region can enjoy their own "Sandlot" field.
