Minnesota Twins Hosting Mall Ball Event Today In Minneapolis

If you want to take advantage of a beautiful Tuesday, head to downtown Minneapolis to get up close to the Minnesota Twins during their surprise Mall Ball home run derby event.

The Twins are hosting this fun event today from noon until about 1:00 p.m. on Nicollet Mall, between 7th Street S. and 8th Street S.

Mall Ball is being held to celebrate the exciting sights, sounds and tastes of Target Field on the newly renovated Nicollet Mall.  The lineup is expected to include Twins players as well as representatives from the Twins organization.

Not only will random participants be invited to take a few swings in the home run derby, everyone there should have some fun photo and video opportunities with Twins players.  Free ballpark-inspired food and beverages will be distributed to the public, while supplies last.

The Twins host the Kansas City Royals Tuesday night at 7:10 p.m., so why not head down this morning, then make a night of it.
