I have blogged about free dental clinics available to you before, but it was usually geared towards children.  This month, the Minnesota Dental Association will be bringing a free dental clinic open to all ages in Duluth.

They are calling the free clinincs, Minnesota Mission of Mercy and because they are hoping to serve up to 2,000 patients.  The free dental clinic is slated to be at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 to provide dental care to as many as 2,000 patients of all ages at no cost.

Mission of Mercy

The schedule will be first come, first seen basis because there is no advance sign-up.  In order to accommodate the number of patients they are expecting they plan to start early in the morning at 5:30a, so get there early!  As usual, if a child is under the age of 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What kind of services is Minnesota Dental providing?  They will be cleaning teeth, filling and extraction procedures and a small offering of limited other treatments based on what equipment they are able to operate from their remote location.

In this day and age when people are struggling to afford medical and dental insurance it's nice to know there is an organization that is trying their best to help.
