If you're shopping at the Miller Hill Mall and wind up getting a little hungry, you will notice an unannounced changed in the food court.  Leann Chin has be replaced by Mandarin Express, another business serving Asian cuisine.

I was never a big fan of Leann Chin.  I don't think the food was bad, just run of the mill, but I know a lot of people were very excited to have them in the Northland.  Now, just like that, they are gone and replaced by Mandarin Express.  However, they may be gone in name alone.

The Duluth News Tribune, while writing about this change, noted that the Mandarin Holdings group, which owns the Leeann Chin restaurant chain, also owns the Mandarin Express chain.  Therefore, many your favorite menu items remain, except now the sauces are made on site.

When it's all said and done, there remains two choices for Asian cuisine inside the Miller Hill Mall, so Christmas shoppers can continue to shop until they're hungry.  I just wish one of them would sell beer.
