Breastfeeding in public has recently been a hot topic and now this picture of military moms breastfeeding in uniform is causing outrage for some people, according to Yahoo. The photo is part of a local breastfeeding awareness campaign by Mom2Mom of Fairchild Air Force Base, a support group launched in January by Crystal Scott, a military spouse and mother of three.

Apparently, some Americans view breastfeeding in uniform the equivalent to the women who posed in uniform for Playboy in 2007.  The women are shocked that they are under fire for showing themselves doing something a majority of mothers do around the world.

What is offensive?  Racism, sexism and hate crimes are obvious things that come to mind.  Other than that, I admit that I am really hard to offend.  I think most people only feign being offended to draw attention to themselves, especially when it comes to things of this nature.  This is a part of life and these women should be commended for serving our country while being caring, nurturing moms.  It takes tremendous courage to be a military mom and I respect these women for tackling life.

Does this picture offend you?
