On Tuesday the Minnesota Vikings announced the release of much maligned kicker Blair Walsh.  They also announced that they have signed Kai Forbath to take over the kicking duties, beginning Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.  So, just who is Kai Forbath?

Kai played college football at UCLA, where he was recognized as the best college kicker in America in 2009.  He entered the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys in 2011, but never played due to injury.  His first regular season pro experience came with Washington in 2012, where he played until being released in 2015.  He most recently played for the New Orleans Saints.

Below is his video draft profile from 2011 as well as 50-yard game winning kick with the Saints. I think if all he does is make his extra points, Vikings fans will be happy.
