McDonald's has really been working on their image lately and trying to improve it.  They've come under fire because the pork they get from their McRib sandwiches is from what some people call cruel practices.

You see, in the pork business, the most cost effective way to make money is to raise pigs in a tiny cage called a "gestation stall."  Where pretty much the pig sits their until it gets fat enough to harvest (kill).

Yeah it ain't pretty.  There really isn't anything at all pretty about pork producing.  I lived in a pork producing county for a few years and it was some of the nastiest stuff I've seen.  It took me a while to start eating brats again.

So either way, McDonald's has asked it's pork people to find a more humane way to raise the pigs.  We'll see what happens.
