Mayor Ness Makes Long Overdue Decision About Duluth Eyesore

Finally, there is going to be something done about this eyesore.  I have been seeing this building un built and looking like someone dumped a garbage of a house on Mesaba for my whole life, it seems. Mayor Ness is going to do something about it.

In a statement made on facebook today, Mayor Ness says

"You know that house on Mesaba Avenue that has had scaffolding up since 1980? (no really, since 1980!) It is a blight on the neighborhood on one of the most visible lots in Duluth. Today, I announced that the city will demolish it this year. It is long past due and after three decades (!) of chances to bring the property up to code, we cannot allow this property owner to reduce property values of his neighbors any longer!"
