Matt Damon will be stepping behind the camera for the first time — following the example of Clint Eastwood, George Clooney and Ron Howard — for a film he co-wrote with ‘The Office’s’ John Krasinski.

Both Damon and Krasinski will also act in this yet-to-be-titled drama, of which Damon is starring.

Krasinki developed the story idea — a salesman arrives in a small town and has his whole life called into question — with ‘Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius’ author David Eggers. He then pitched it to Damon, who agreed to help him finish the writing and direct the film.

After he completes his project with Krasinski, Damon is attached to direct another movie, ‘Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses.’
