Most of the time the Lunch with the History People features a book by someone that looks at the history of the area, and talks about that history and what they found looking back. This week it will feature someone with an extensive collection of Twin Ports Photos.

This next presentation will feature Wes Berntson who has been a member of the St. Louis County Historical Society’s Board of Governors. Three generations of his family have lived in Duluth. He currently resides in Morgan Park, a neighborhood with rich local history.

Wes will give “A Visual Presentation of Historic Duluth.” His lecture includes various slides related to Duluth. In addition, he will display items from his vast collection. Through these collectibles, Wes will overview aspects of Duluth’s history. He has an extensive knowledge of the history and will show it though a pictorial of Duluth.

The event will be held in the Underground on the first floor of the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot), at 506 West Michigan Street, Duluth, Minnesota.  There will be limited theater-style seating (no tables), but feel free to bring your own bag lunch. Seating is first-come, first-served (no reservations). The event is also free. ARCO coffee is provided.
