There's no doubt that Luke Bryan is on a big time roll with hit after hit and sold-out show after sold-out show.  You would hope that would translate into some really cool videos for his songs.  Unfortunately, that is not the case for his 'Move' video.

The song is all tempo as Luke sings about how much he digs the object of his affection.  Rather that use the video to tell more of a story, Luke appears to have taken the easy way out.

The video is basically Luke giving sweaty, tough guy looks as he sings the song.  Meanwhile in a room next door, a woman dances on what appears to be the set of the movie "Flashdance".  It's all a bit cheesy, really.  I kept waiting for her lean back on a chair and douse herself with a bucket of water.  If I wanted to see a "Flashdance" video, I'd rather watch 'Maniac' by the legendary Michael Sembello.

The climax of Luke's video features Mrs. Flashdance literally dancing through the wall, as the scene transitions to a little concert featuring Luke in some nice clothes. That is about it, really.  Nothing against the song, there just isn't much to see here.  Perhaps he'll go more high concept next time, like dress up like Kevin Bacon from "Footloose".

Check it out below and see if you agree.  Oh, and make sure to watch Michael Sembello too!

Luke's inspiration?
