Luke Bryan is no stranger to playing in Los Angeles. The superstar and American Idol judge has rocked crowds over the years at many of L.A.'s iconic venues, including the Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, the Forum, and Irvine Meadows Ampitheatre in neighboring Orange County.

However, he got to make a piece of L.A. history on Saturday night (July 28), when he played at one of the city's most beloved institutions—Dodger Stadium. Although the baseball stadium has hosted scores of concerts over the years, Bryan's performance, part of his What Makes You Country XL Tour, marks the first time a country artist has played there.

Bryan, who donned a Dodgers cap and jersey for his rowdy, hit-packed two-hour set, made sure to let the California crowd know how important the date was to him. To drive his gratitude home, he posted an exuberant photo on Instagram on stage with his kids, stating "Dodger Stadium changed my life tonight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here," and added the hashtag #HistoryMade.

Bryan is joined by Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen for the tour, which runs through October. Given that he is expecting a busy schedule with the next season of American Idol, he noted recently that he's planning on scaling back his tour dates for a little while, in order to have more time with his family.
