Just hearing the words "wage freeze" or any type of cap on what someone can earn will mostly cause raised eyebrows right away.  However, when it comes to employees who earn tips, might this be a good thing?

Our partners at WDIO are reporting that some local restaurant managers are asking Minnesota legislators to approve a measure that would cap waiters' and waitresses' minimum wage.

While some may view this as simply restricting what a server can earn, the restaurant owners say that it's getting harder and harder for smaller business to continue to increase server's wages as they continue to earn tips, and it makes it necessary for them to make other cuts in their business.
