Almost exactly three years after their previous visit to Duluth, Little Big Town returned to AMSOIL Arena as part of their "The Breakers" Tour, bringing Kacey Musgraves and Midland along as special guests. The quartet is in the middle of a tour for their "The Breaker" album, which came out in February of 2017.

Opening the night was up-and-coming Texas act Midland, who made their time on stage in front of the nearly full-house AMSOIL Arena seem like an intimate bar show while performing atop a smaller spinning stage opposite the main stage on the arena floor. The group walked the audience though the deeper cuts of their album "On The Rocks", playing their most recent single "Make A Little" mid-set and closing their evening with the hit that put them on the map, "Drinkin' Problem".

Singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves followed on the main stage, complete with an elegant draped background and suit-clad band. Among her hits like "Merry Go Round" and "Follow Your Arrow"; Musgraves also performed a couple songs like "Butterflies" and "Space Cowboy" off her new album "Golden Hour", set to come out on March 30. Kacey also took advantage of the small secondary rotating stage, performing a pair of songs that included a cover of Books & Dunn's "Neon Moon".

Headliners Little Big Town took the stage with a cover of Elton John's "Rocket Man", which seemed like an odd way to start their show. The group followed up with what would have made more sense as a starting number, playing "Drivin' Around" off their new album, "The Breaker". After a handful of hits like "Pontoon" and "Happy People, LBT took the show to the same rotating back stage the previous two acts occupied earlier in the night.

While on the auxiliary stage, the quartet brought the show to a more intimate level, connecting with some fans around the stage, shaking hands, and calling out some of the posters fans were holding up. While there, they brought out the emotion, singing stripped down versions of "Bring It On Home", "Sober", and "Your Side Of The Bed". They also paid tribute to a couple music legends, singing some of Prince's "When Doves Cry", Glen Campbell's "Wichita Lineman".

After returning back to the main stage, the group seemed to take on a new level of energy, closing out with a parade of songs that included "I'm With The Band", "Tornado", "Day Drinking", "Girl Crush", and "Boondocks".
