The first thing I do when we arrive at a hotel/motel for a stay is move the bedspread and sheets and check the bed for bugs.  They aren't easy to see either, they are teeny tiny little black specs and they love to travel.  Guaranteed if they're there they'll grab a trip with you home.  Want to know what to do to combat them?  Attend this seminar tonight.

I learned to check hotel/motel bed sheets when I was in a small WI town to do a production job.  Someone else had made my reservation in a non-brand name hotel (however brand name, non-brand name, doesn't really matter).  I was fine with it.  Got in my room, unpacked and got ready to meet the crew downstairs for dinner.  One of the guys doing the shoot needed to decide what I would wear for the shoot so he stopped by my room and immediately started talking about the cleanliness of his room.  He then showed me how to check to make sure there wasn't bed bugs in my room and that has stuck with me ever since.  If you want to learn more, you can tonight from 7-8:30p at the Denfeld High School Auditorium at a FREE seminar.

The seminar is due to the efforts of the Arrowhead Multi-Housing Association.  They hope to educate people about bed bugs, how to determine if you have them and what to do if you find them in your home.
