With the warmer weather comes more time on our beautiful Lakewalk on the edge of Lake Superior in the Canal.  Last night my family, including Bauer the beast took advantage of the day and instead of lifting weights went for a 3 mile walk.  We were treated to the Wednesday Night Sail Boat Races that will happen through the month of September.  Pictured above is the group waiting for Duluth's iconic Aerial Lift Bridge to lift and allow them to pass through the Canal to the delight the crowds.

I'm so jealous, it would be such a rush to have the wind at our back sailing on Lake Superior.  I know the crew on the sailboats have specific jobs, but I'd love to learn and try it once.  You absolutely have to catch the grandeur of the races when they are on the Lake side of the Aerial Lift Bridge.  The brightly colored sails dot the horizon and add even more beauty to our City.  Thank you to our local sailboat enthusiasts!!  If you've never seen it before, here's a sneak peek, but definitely get out and enjoy the view in person to appreciate the event.
