A lot of people don't know that Lake Superior Brewing was Minnesota's first in modern craft beer brewing.  A friend of the family designed their logo many years ago and thus at deer camp every year, there was an abundance of their beer.  Old Man Winter Warmer, their seasonal release was probably my favorite from them, but you can't go wrong with the Special Ale either!

They now have new management and ownership and still take pride in the quality and flavor they have had since day 1.  They are celebrating this new ownership in the best way, a party in the taproom.

From 7-11 this Friday the 27th, come hang out at 2711 West Superior Street with live music from Virgil Caine, a pizza oven from Clyde, and of course, beer.  If you play DD for the night you can enjoy High Bridge Root Beer, which is made in house.

If you are new to their product, this is the perfect event to give them a try.  What is your favorite Minnesota craft beer?
