Police had a busy evening on Saturday (July 28) when nearly 50 Brothers of the Sun Tour concert-goers were either cited or arrested during the Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concert stop in Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to the IndyStar, 32 fans were cited for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol, and eight adults were ticketed for supplying alcohol to minors. An official statement by the Indianapolis police department claims that five minors were also cited for underage consumption.

The concert was cut short for two individuals, who were arrested for illegal possession of alcohol, false informing and disorderly conduct. False informing is the act of providing information to law enforcements with no merit or basis in fact.

This past weekend’s law involvement at the popular summer outing wasn’t the first time have authorities removed unruly country fans from the crowd. It was a similar scene in Darien Lake, N.Y. last month, when 59 Rascal Flatts fans were charged with underage possession of alcohol and intent to consume. Then, at the Chesney/McGraw date in Nashville, a Chesney lookalike was escorted out of the concert after the fan caused a disturbance in the crowd.

Despite the hiccup with underage drinking and possession, the music portion of the Indianapolis show went off without a hitch, and the majority of the country-loving crowd behaved responsibly. The Brothers of the Sun Tour continues its cross-country trek with just a handful of dates remaining.
