Kellie Pickler took a break from her main gig as one of country music’s leading ladies to kick off the third year of the ConAgra Foods Foundation and Feeding America Hunger-Free program in Nashville, Tenn. on Tuesday, June 26.

Joined by area teens from Pope John Paul II High School, the ’100 Proof’ singer assisted in food-fulfillment activities such as packing backpacks, as her volunteer effort for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. Also in attendance was organization President and CEO Jaynee Day, who gave the singer a personal tour of the bank.

Pickler isn’t the only member of Music Row’s elite to lend their services to the worthy organization. Hit songwriter Craig Wiseman recently held his annual benefit for the Second Harvest Food Bank, with Vince GillJake OwenFlorida Georgia Line, Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins, Rodney Clawson and Chris Tompkins all on-hand to help him raise funds for a good cause during a sold-out concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

Pickler is set to resume her touring duties on June 29 as a confirmed performer during this year’s Milwaukee Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisc. The singer is on the road promoting her latest album, ’100 Proof,’ which features the hit single, ‘Tough.’
