Junior League Of Duluth Celebrates Holidays With Yearly Tradition, The Festival Of Trees

It's a tradition for many in the Northland, the Junior League of Duluth's Festival of Trees.   I remember going to this event years ago when it was held at another location.  It grew in size with both vendors and attendees and that prompted a move to the Edmund Fitzgerald Exhibit Hall and the Lake Superior Ballroom at the DECC.  It doesn't matter where it's held, it's always an enchanting holiday shopping experience that will touch the spirit of the holiday in you.

The Junior League of Duluth has been in existence since the 1920's.  That's a long time for this group of women to be devoting time, energy and great ideas for the betterment of our community.  Their mission, according to their website is to "promote voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable."

Now you know why they exist, now let's talk about how much fun you and yours can have at the Festival of Trees. This is my go to place for holiday decorating ideas.  I'm just not crafty and can't visualize cute decorations myself, the DECC will be filled with them, including trees that are already decorated, for sale and up for auction.  That will save you some time!  When we had Melissa and Brittany in the studio for an interview they said there would be over 170 crafters with their handcrafted wares, holiday gift list....complete!

If you love toffee you will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't grab a bag of the Junior League's famous handcrafted toffee.  You can pre-order your toffee until November 9 and I suggest you do or you may just miss out.

12 years and under get in FREE!
$1 off admission price with a non-perishable food item donation either day.

Every year the Junior League collects over 500 pounds of food for Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. You can help them reach that goal and get a $1 off your admission to the Festival of Trees by bringing in a non-perishable food item.
