Joe Mauer and His Lovely Wife Are Expecting…Wait For It…..Twins!

What else would you expect from the most popular Minnesota Twin?  Congratulations are in order for Joe and Maddie Mauer who are expecting double bundles of joy.

StartTribune.com is confirming reports that the Mauers are expecting twins.

He's not the only Twin connected with twins. Infielder Jamey Carroll's twins, a boy and a girl, celebrated their fifth birthday Wednesday.

The Twins are currently in Florida preparing for a season in which they hope to take a step forward after two disappointing seasons in a row, but I expect Joe to have an extra bounce in his step this summer.
