Jennifer Nettles’ ‘That Girl’ Tops Country Album Charts in Its First Week
Jennifer Nettles just debuted her first solo album 'That Girl' on Jan. 14, but already she's proven she's that girl to watch -- her album comes in at No. 1 on the country albums chart in its first week.
Nettles put her own personal touch on the making of the record, helping pen or co-pen ten of the eleven tracks. The release features collaborations with songwriters Butch Walker, Phillip Sweet (Little Big Town), Richard Marx and Sara Bareilles. And it seems her hard work has paid off.
'That Girl' rules the sales chart with 54K sold in its kickoff week, beating out Rosanne Cash's 'River & the Thread' and Jon Pardi's 'Write You a Song,' which sold 18,566 and 17,050, respectively. Florida Georgia Line's 'Here's to the Good Times' saw sales of 15,891, while Luke Bryan notched 14,080 with 'Crash My Party.'
