Jamey Johnson Pays Tribute To Merle Haggard At GCM In July

Jamey Johnson will be paying tribute to what he calls "his mentor", Merle Haggard at Grand Casino's Amphitheater in Hinckley on Saturday, July 2. He welcomes the opportunity to pay Merle a debt of gratitude.

Merle Haggard was an amazing writer of many country songs. He admitted to being jealous of a song that Jamey Johnson wrote that George Strait recorded, "Give It Away". Sadly we lost Country Legend Merle Haggard in April of this year. Jamey Johnson was friends with him and said he was a mentor and owes a great debt of gratitude to him. I'm sure that gratitude will be prevalent when Jamey Johnson and The Strangers, Ben and Noel Haggard take the stage at Grand Casino Mille Lacs on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
