Our Football Team has 2 national championships, Women's hockey has multiple national championships....the men's hockey team.....well, they've been close. Jack Connolly is one of the reasons we could be hoisting a national championship flag in the new Amsoil Arena. His line is the top in the country and they are 2 wins away. Listen to the game on ESPN Radio 560 WEBC or watch ESPN2-HD.

— As he steps on the ice Thursday in the NCAA Frozen Four, UMD junior All-American Jack Connolly will be, in a sense, returning home.

This year, the tournament is being held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the same building Connolly played several State tournament games as a Duluth Marshall Hilltopper. Jack is currently third in the country with 58 points this season, many of them assists, something that he calls a huge source of pride.  Connolly and the Bulldogs will take the ice Thursday at 4 p.m. in the national semifinals against Notre Dame.
