DON'T flush your old medications down the toilet!  That's how it gets into our water supply and affects plants, fish and other aquatic animals.  According to our partners at the WDIO.com, you can drop them off at WLSSD  this Friday for FREE!

"Medicine Cabinet Clean-Out Day" is a day that the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) hosts.  It's a free for you to get rid of your unwanted or expired medications with the hopes that this will keep them out of our water and soil.

The event will be held at the regional Household Hazardous Waste Facility,  2626 Courtland Street in Duluth today on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Prepare now because this is a one day event.

Residents can bring their own, or a family member's unwanted or expired medication to the waste facility for confidential disposal.

This is the best way to get unwanted items out of your home  to protect your family and pets from accidental ingestion and misuse or abuse of the items.
