Hollywood has come to Marshall School in Duluth! For several weeks in April, an independent film starring Danny Glover, Denise Richards and Cameron Seely will be filming at the school.

According to their press release, "Christmas Break-In" will center around 9-year-old actress Cameron Seely, who recently played Hugh Jackman's youngest daughter in "The Greatest Showman".

Here is the plot of "Christmas Break-In":

Izzy, played by Cameron Seely, is an energetic 9-year-old. Overscheduled and running late, Izzy’s parents can’t pick her up on-time the last day of school before Christmas break. A blizzard complicates the matter, but not as much as a pair of bad guys who are freezing in an ice cream truck. Glover, the school’s janitor, is kidnapped by the intruders, and it is up to Seely’s character to save the day.

Gil Aglaure is the film's executive producer and his Utah-based movie company, Koan, Inc., chose Marshall School in Duluth after consulting with Snowbate, the Minnesota Film and TV Commission.

They needed a school blanketed with snow, so I think they picked the perfect area to film.  Additionally, Marshall School students, teachers, and parents are serving as extras in the film.

I think it all sounds promising, although why would there be an ice cream truck in winter?  Perhaps the bad guys are posing as Schwan's delivery men, or a fake food delivery business like "Swans Eats and Treats".

Either way, I'm extending an open invitation to Denise and Danny for dinner and margarita's while they are here.  Have your people call my people, which will actually be me pretending to be "my people".  Please play along.
