Face it, you love to spend time with your kids.  But, once the novelty of the new Christmas toys wears off, what then?  The City of Duluth, offers FREE ice skating, indoor AND outdoor,  as an outlet to burn off some of youth's energy.  Here's all the details you need for a family fun outing.  Take lots of pictures, I'm sure there will be LOTS of Facebook shots just waiting to happen!

Bayfront Park Outdoor Skating

Come skate at the City of Duluth’s premier outdoor skating rink Bayfront Park. Surrounded by 20-30 foot tall pine trees Bayfront skating is a wonderful experience. Come in from the cold and warm up near the fireplace in the Bayfront Family Center. Bayfront Park skating hours are 5:00-9:00 PM until December 26th.

During the holiday break Bayfront will be open December 27-31 from 1:00-8:00 PM and closed on January 1st. On January 2nd Bayfront will be open weekly Monday-Friday 4:00-8:00 PM, Saturday 1:00-8:00 PM and Sunday 1:00-5:00 PM.

 

Heritage Sports Center Indoor Skating

Duluth Parks and Recreation is also offering free holiday break skating sessions at the Heritage Sports Center on the following dates.

Monday-Dec 26 1:30-3:00 PM

Tuesday-Dec 27 10:00-11:30 AM

Wednesday-Dec 28 10:00-11:30 AM

Thursday-Dec 29 10:00-11:30 AM

Friday-Dec 30 1:30-3:00 PM

Skating is FREE and open to all ages for pleasure skating. Please bring your own skates. The Heritage Center is located at 120 South 30th Avenue West.
