Ice Fisherman Tech Hack: Netflix Available for Download Content Can Save Those Slow Days

I set out yesterday for my first ice fishing excursion of the season.  I loaded up my normal gear including my auger, shelter, heater, lantern, flasher, etc.  But this year I brought one more item with me: my tablet.

With Netflix offering some of it's content as available for download, I figured it would be a great way to spend some time catching up on my favorite shows when the fish aren't biting.

Now I know critics would say that they go out ice fishing to get away from it all, and that's true too.  I move around a bit when the sun is up, but on the cold, frigid days, and you're stuck hunkered down, it's a nice feature to have this year.

Maybe if you're like me and drag your kids along with you, it's a way to make the experience less excruciatingly boring for them.
