As part of the "Eat Downtown Duluth Restaurant Week," we've been brought dishes from restaurants to sample.  This morning JJ Astor brought us several wonderful dishes to try.  I thought I was eating some type of tiny pork chop.  After I polished off the delicious meal, I read the menu and realized I had eaten duck.  I think this is the first time I had tried duck, and I like it!

This isn't the first time I ate something that turns out I was wrong about.  I remember clearly the time I ate "Rocky Mountain Oysters."  Someone had told me they were sausage balls.  That's something I haven't tried again.  Another time I ate Calamari and thought they were onion rings that were undercooked.  Once I ate tiny squid in a mystery seafood soup that my fiance's father made.  Now that I think about it, I've eaten a lot of stuff at his place that I had no idea what it was.  Tofu, eel, oyster stuffing, and tons of seafood that I have no idea what is.

Remember, you have to try anything once!  You might like it!  Today, I learned I like duck!
