If you ever listen to The Breakfast Club, you probably know that I get a lot of flack for not having seen classic movies. This is true. When it comes to movie-watching, I am the worst. I watch horror flicks and bad romantic comedies.

For the longest time, Ken and pretty much everyone else has been trying to get me to watch Top Gun. I was never opposed to it but I couldn't find it on any streaming services and was not invested enough to seek it out.

Thankfully, an amazing listener named Jimi heard my rumblings about the movie and gave me his copy for a bit. I finally sat down to watch it Wednesday night and I have a lot of feelings.

I knew it would be sad as everyone told me to get tissues ready but I was not prepared for what was about to happen for the next hour and forty-nine minutes.

In the end, I would rate Top Gun a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed it but it left me with a lot of questions. Here are some things I would like an answer to. (Sequel makers - are you listening?)

Why Did Goose Have To Die?

I know this is the main point of the movie but WHY?! Why couldn't Val Kilmer's character kick the bucket? When the movie started, I told myself that was the character that HAD to make it to the end because he was so kind and sweet and a family man. Clearly, I had another thing coming. Life ruiner.

Why Does 'Take My Breath Away' Keep Playing?

I know this is a romantic song but why is this song playing in every scene? This song actually played during an upbeat part of the movie. It's cute once or twice but couldn't they have branched out at least once? Ha! I had to laugh.

    What Happened To Maverick's Dad?

This was the most intriguing part of the movie because it really added suspense and story to Tom Cruise's character. I loved this plot line at the time but now I am going crazy. WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS DAD? We need to know.
