House Takes Flight Just Like Movie ‘Up’

Scientists, engineers and some hot air balloon pilots got together for a new National Geographic channel show called ‘How Hard Can It Be‘. The challenge? To lift a 2 story house with 300 weather balloons, similar to what was seen in the 2009 Pixar movie ‘Up‘.
The mission seems a success with the flight reaching 10,ooo feet and lasting an hour. You’ll be able to see how they did it when the show airs sometime in the Fall of 2011.
In the meantime, check out the pictures on Eugene’s Blog.
