Highway 53 Relocation Project Open House Scheduled For November 15th in Mountain Iron

Soon Highway 53 will need to be rerouted in Virginia due to a termination of easement rights, which will have a big impact on travelers.  Don't miss this opportunity to see where the new route will be.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has invited the public to an open house see the latest route alternatives for Highway 53 in Virginia.

The open house will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mountain Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South, Mountain Iron, Minnesota  55768. The Mountain Iron Community Center is located on the south side of Hwy 169 between Mineral Avenue and Mud Lake Road.

Open house attendees will be able to see the latest route alternatives, discuss the layouts with project staff and leave comments.
