If you travel on Highway 210, your route is about get easier.

The Minnesota Department Of Transportation has announced that a six-month-long rehabilitation project is nearing completion on the Highway 210 Bridge at Thomson. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in early-December.

Completion of the project was delayed by severe flooding in June, which destroyed the bridge’s approaches and destroyed a 9-foot-diameter overflow culvert located adjacent to the bridge.

A new bridge has been constructed to replace the overflow culvert. When the St. Louis River is flowing at high volume, it can pass beneath the new bridge at far-greater volume than through the confines of a culvert.
