During my week off, my family and I went and did some tourist kinda stuff.  One of the places we visited was the the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary.  We'd hope we'd see some bears but weren't sure.

We were worried it would be like a zoo, where the bear might be hiding in its cave or something.  We thought we'd give it a try anyway.  We parked at the loading zone, paid our 8 dollars each, and got aboard a school bus.  The driver told us some history of the sanctuary on the 1 mile ride to the viewing platform.

We pulled up to the viewing platform and I immediately spotted a black bear!  Success!  We found one!  Yes!

A few moments later we saw about 50 other black bears too.  I feel a little foolish now that we were worried about seeing ANY.  They've got tons of bears everyday, and I guess they come from 100 miles around.  There's no fence, they don't keep the bears there, they are wild bears that come in for a meal.

It's a great time for the family, and it's worth checking out!
