Did you get one of the plastic bags like the one in the picture with your mail this week?  It's for a very good reason and one you need to think about before you leave the house to fish, shop for Mother's Day or head for work on Saturday.

They're use to collecting mail, but tomorrow our Postal Carriers will be picking up non-perishable food donations you leave by your mailbox.   It's the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive is going on across the country.  It was kicked off this week with Super One Foods donating 4500 pounds of food AND $8000 in cash to the food shelf.  THANK YOU, that's amazing!

This drive is important to stock the shelves for the summer months when school is out and children are home to eat breakfast and lunch rather than getting those meals at school.

It's easy!  Use the bag provided and fill it with non-perishable food items like canned meats, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal, peanut butter and rice.  Then just place it near your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up and deliver to our local Chum food bank.
