Have You Ever Tried Ham Salad Spread?

Not a lot of people I know have tried Ham Salad Spread, but it was a pretty common thing for me growing up on the range.   It actually has been referred to as Funeral Spread before as well.   Not because it kills you, but because odds are if you were at a funeral on the Iron Range, the church ladies would usually make this. 

I recently saw it at Zup's in Cook, MN.  It was an impulse buy.  It was the first time I've had it in years, and to be honest, I think it could be a few more years before I have it again.

But it's definitely a regional food that if you haven't tried I suggest you do.  It's best served with bread-  lots of bread.
