Happy Halloween! Here’s 3 Spooky Country Songs to Get You In The Spirit Of Things [VIDEO]

With Halloween upon us, I thought it would be fun to find 3 country songs that have spooky themes.

First up is "The Legend Of Wooley Swamp" by Charlie Daniels band.  This song deals with a man who saves his money in jars and then buries them.  However, things turn bad when a group of brothers decide to murder him.  The decision costs the 3 brothers their lives to as they are killed by quicksand trying to run from the crime scene.

Next up is Alan Jackson's 'Midnight In Montgomery'.  This song tells the story of a late night meeting with the ghost of Hank Williams on the anniversary of his death.

The third song is 'Ghost Riders In The Sky' by Johnny Cash.  This song tells the story of a cowboy witnessing a herd of red-eyed cows riding through the sky. Following the cattle are riders, who try to round them up, but never can catch them.  The moral of the story is the cowboy better change his ways or he'll end up like those ghost riders in the sky.
