Greater Downtown Council Window Display And Lighting Winners Announced [Let The Shopping Begin!]

Let's SHOP, y'all!  Downtown Duluth is all festive for the holidays and the 9th Annual Storefront Window Display and Lighting Contest winners have been announced, presented by the Greater Downtown Council.  28 downtown businesses transformed their storefronts into holiday wonderment and you voted for your favorite while you shop for unique gifts (and yourself!)  Here's the winners to check out while shopping!

The holiday transformation started behind special red curtains and unveiled prior to the Christmas City of the North Parade.  Then judging for the Lighting and Window Display contest was conducted on November 24th. This year's judges included; local artist and author Chris Monroe, Duluth Budgeteer advertising manager Kathleen Pennington, and Lizzard's Art Gallery & Framing owner Jeff Schmidt.

An amazing 27 different businesses participated in the contest and the winners of the Greater Downtown Council's 9th Annual Storefront Window Display and Lighting contest have been announced. Awards were presented Tuesday morning during the GDC's quarterly breakfast meeting.
