Have you been active since winter and feeling great?  Perhaps it's time to challenge yourself by signing up for this years Grandmas Marathon! Registration for the 38th running of Grandma's Marathon will remain open through Saturday, May 31.

 
The country’s 16th largest marathon currently has more than 7,400 in the field for the June 21 event, which begins at 7:45 a.m. Runners can sign up for the annual Two Harbors-to-Duluth race by visiting www.GrandmasMarathon.com. The entry fee is $110.
 
Also, there are still about 500 volunteer positions remaining for the June 19-21 Grandma’s Marathon weekend. Volunteer positions include areas such as traffic and spectator control, water station assistance, medical services, racecourse entertainment, race packet pick-up and finish area activities. Service organizations, large groups and individuals are all welcome and encouraged to participate. Each volunteer receives an official 2014 T-shirt, refreshment ticket and an invitation to the Grandma’s Marathon volunteer party on Sunday, June 29 at Grandma’s Sports Garden. To volunteer, complete and submit the online form at www.GrandmasMarathon.com.
 
Grandma's Marathon weekend also features the 24th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and the 21st annual William A. Irvin 5K. The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is Saturday, June 21 at 6:15 a.m. and the William A. Irvin 5K is Friday, June 20 at 6 p.m. Registration for the half marathon is closed. The William A. Irvin 5K entry process will close when 2,000 are registered, or after May 31 – similar to the marathon.
 
In all, more than 17,000 runners from around the world will participate in Grandma's Marathon weekend, which is presented by Wells Fargo and Toyota.
