My husband and I have been training for Grandma's Half Marathon which is a 13.1 mile race.  One might say "you're running a distance race, what is a 5K going to do for you"?  LOTS!  It helps with speed.  Every race is a race against the clock, so while building stamina is important in a half marathon, so is speed.  We call it a tempo run and a 5K is the perfect way to get your tempo run in for the day while you're contributing to a great cause in the community.

Get your tempo run in TONIGHT at the 10th annual Cathedral School Panther Pant 5K Walk/Run. However, I should stress that you don't have to RUN, you can also WALK for exercise and enjoyment!  All skill levels are invited to participate.

The race will start at 6p in the parking lot of Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior, just off of Belknap Street at Grand Avenue.   Don't worry if you're not signed up yet, you can do so prior to the race, cost is $25.00.  Remember, it's a fundraiser for Cathedral School, you're money will be used to fund the schools art, music, and Spanish programs.
